RICHARD BRITTERIDGE
Richard Britteridge appears in Bradford's list of Mayflower passengers as one of the many single men who "died soon after ... arrival in the general sickness" [Bradford 443, 447]. He signed the Mayflower Compact on 11 November 1620. "Dec. 21 [1620], dies Richard Britteridge, the first who dies in this harbour" [Bradford, as quoted by Prince 168].
